Emotional Intelligence: The Key to EmPowered Living

Working successfully…and peacefully… with people of differing backgrounds and temperament is critical to achieving any worthwhile goal in life. Success hinges on one’s capacity to not only manage one’s own emotions but to be able to assess, understand, and respond to the emotions of others. This is the essence of emotional intelligence and an individual’s ability to manage emotions and not react to emotions.

Reactive emotional responses tend to be destructive. Emotional intelligence or EI provides the emotional framework to respond and not react; be constructive, not destructive. This critical training program helps participants understand the concept as it applies to personal and professional success; identify one’s EI strengths and weaknesses; and provide tools for breaking old patterns of emotional reactive behaviors.

Topics include:

  • Understand the biological basis and business case for emotional intelligence

  • Discussion of the 4 four components of emotional intelligence.

  • How feelings, reactions and emotions affect relationships in life and work.

  • How to easily work with different personalities and communication styles.

  • How to avoid overreacting in emotionally charged situations.

  • Identify strategies to transform a low EQ to a high EQ.

This program can be structured as a keynote address, a seminar, or a 1-day workshop.
