Dealing With Diabetes

Whether you are Type 1 or Type 11, there are 3 basic areas that need to be addressed in order to live a long and heathly life.

Most of us know that out of control diabetes can cause blindness and many other horrible complications. Here's an acronym that might help us to remember these important areas. 

We all want to S. E. E.! :)

Stress relief, what are you doing to relieve stress? Stress plays a large part in elevated blood glucose levels. I will walk you through some creative ways to relieve stress that will work with your life style and personality.

Eating right! Yes, no matter how you dice it, ;) "You are what you eat!" Let's get back to basics and understand how food affects your glucose levels. This is the touchiest subject to deal with, nobody want to change their eating habits. I will encourage you and help you understand that making a change in your diet will change your life and life expectancy. 

Exercise! I have had over 29 years of complication free diabetes! I know that exercise has played a huge role in keeping my mind and body healthy. I will show you fun ways to incorporate exercise into your life and make it a priority! 

(Adele has had  type 1 diabetes for almost 30 years. She wears an insulin pump and was the National Spokesperson for Medtronic Diabetes for 5 years.)
