Do you lack peace in your life? In my life scripture, Philippians 4:-4 "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.", God promises you a peace. The key word is 'thanksgiving'. When you thank God ahead of time for His answers to your prayer requests, you are saying that you trust Him and will leave all your worries in His Hands.
I was told 23 years ago I had breast cancer. I became hysterical because I was a single parent of two small children, I had no health insurance, was already going to food pantries for food, cleaned houses and knew that would stop, so who would take care of us? All of a sudden that scripture came to my mind. I started saying these words: "Thank You, praise You, thank You, praise You." By the time I came home to tell my children I had cancer, I felt an amazing peace and woke up the next morning with joy! That whole year of a mastectomy and two more operation, no work, no insurance, I had this joy and everyone saw Jesus through me!
God doesn't lie. His Word is His Truth! BELIEVE! You can have His Peace right now! Make a list of your worries and needs. Put the words "I praise and thank You Lord" before each of them. It doesn't say in the scripture you have to feel thankful so why not try it!
I share the many trials I and my children have gone through in our lives and by praising and thanking the Lord every day we are not anxious anymore about trials that may come into our life in the future. Jesus has healed us of our past hurts and because He lives within us we have a joyous future and so can YOU!
