"WHO AM I"

What would you Discover if you journeyed through your own personal past?

Being raised in a dysfunctional and abusive home made it difficult for me to filter through my needs that were not adequately met as a child, I have discovered that throughout much of my life I had "written a book of instructions" that was only pleasing to me. Eventually I also discovered I was the only one who was willing to be a participating character in this book.

We often find ourselves effortlessly working to prove to ourselves, and to others, that we can be successful if we can be perfect, or in truth, LOOK PERFECT!

When forced to hit that dreaded moment of truth, we are faced with choices of whether we are wiling to do the work in taking responsibility for our own personal healing and recovery from past pain (no matter how hard the task.)

Do you need to continue holding onto certain memories in your life in order to cancel out your most unpleasant memories? We all have a need deep down to put "meaning" to not only our childhood, but our pure existence in any stage in life. The caution here is to not allow your search for meaning to be the determining factor of your absolute worth and value. This false belief can  keep us stuck in a whirlwind of destructive patterns.

Another thing I have discovered in m,y search for healing from past trauma, is that "God will replace my pain with gain, and all the while reminding me that regardless of what I was handed in my past, which was never mine to hold, he was there all along providing me comfort and a positive future filed with enormous worth and value".

"The Truth Will Set You Free" John 8:32 ~
