Native of Honea Path, South Carolina, Dr. Williams has been married 34 years to her best friend, Lee A. Williams. To the union of their marriage, God has blessed them with two children – Mattison Lee (30) and Morgan Alexis (25). She is a 1985 graduate of the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC where she earned a BS in Marketing and a BS in Insurance and Economic Security. In 2010, she earned her Master of Divinity in Christian Education from Columbia International University in Columbia, South Carolina. In May of 2022, she completed her doctoral studies at Erskine Theological Seminary. Dr. Williams heard the voice of God calling her to the preaching ministry in the latter part of 1997 and eventually she submitted to His will. Dr. Williams says, “I didn’t want to preach because I didn’t want the responsibility of handling God’s word or His people. I just wanted to serve Him. God will allow you to exercise your free will until it interrupts His divine will. I had to learn that God has the last word. “
Many years ago the Lord told Dr. Williams she would glorify him by counseling, teaching, and preaching His word to the nations. Since that time, she has served in various ministry capacities within the church. She loves to evangelize the lost, leading souls to deliverance by the power of prayer and God’s word. She enjoys writing and teaching creative Bible studies and ministering to the church. She is a co-founder of The Master’s Joy, a discipleship teaching ministry. Additionally, Dr. Williams is also the founder of Graceful Fire, a ministry which provides teaching, training, mentoring and ministry consultation, outreach and global missions training. Dr. Williams consistently provides pastoral counseling, mentoring to other ministers and trains women to walk in the godly virtues of Christ. She has over 20 years of service as a regular minister to the inmates of the SC Department of Corrections, where she has conducted weekly bible studies and led monthly worship services. She is a trained hospital chaplain and passionately ministers to the poor and those infected with the HIV/AIDS virus. Dr. Williams has also served as a missionary on the field in Africa to the natives of Southern Sudan and Uganda, also in India to the Dalit people of New Delhi and Lucknow.
Dr. Williams, a licensed and ordained minister, is affiliated with Cedar Creek Community Church, under the leadership of Rev. Charlie Butler, Winnsboro, South Carolina. Dr. Williams believes that every Christian has a personal responsibility to “love your neighbor as yourself” and to “make disciples of all nations”. She believes this is foundational to the growth, maturity and power of the Body. In the same way the cross was evidence of Christ’s love for mankind, genuine and loving concern for all authenticates who we are to the world (John 13:35).
