More About Amy White

Amy White is an author, speaker and a seasoned professional counselor with a M.A. in Professional Psychology. She equips women to better understand themselves, the spiritual battlefied, and how to embrace God's personal calling on their lives.

=====

Amy White has extensive experience as an educator, speaker, author, coach, co-strategist, and therapist and in executive leadership roles. She is licensed as a professional counselor in Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Florida. She has worked for over thirty years with individuals and groups in private practice, inpatient, and outpatient clinical settings. Amy's strongest desire is to help individuals become all they can be by identifying goals and then overcoming whatever obstacles and barriers get in the way. Specific areas of focus include—overcoming trauma and victimization; low self-esteem; depression and anxiety; marital/relationship issues; communication and conflict resolution; female sexuality; and grief work.

Amy has also served in executive roles for three non-profit agencies, including Vice President of Organizational Development and Chief Operating Officer. She has been strategically involved in human resource/people management; facilities, and operational roles; staff and leadership development; conflict management and resolution; community/partner building; and strategic planning. Her work in organizations has given her an insider’s view into the world of work and the issues that arise on all staffing levels. Amy has a passion to assist individuals and leadership teams in identifying and removing barriers to success and increasing skill and efficiency levels to achieve individual and organizational goals. This includes having each person in the role which best fits him/her and developing highly functional teams who work well together and get the job done.

Amy enjoys speaking, training, and presenting in universities, organizations, churches, women's groups, and national conference workshops. A particular area of focus is leading discussions on understanding how to keep our lives running well in all areas—relational, vocational, sexual, spiritual, recreational, and physical. She has been an adjunct faculty member for Robert Morris University and Gwinnett Technical College. Amy has offered seminars and workshops on various subjects including understanding depression, communication, and conflict resolution.

Amy has also published various articles and has self-published several books.

Amy works from a Christian perspective, incorporating Biblical truths to assist others to see themselves as God does; i.e. fully loved, forgiven, and accepted, and challenging all negative messages where other individuals or events have created distortions. Amy believes God has placed all of us here for a purpose and we are most fulfilled when we are pursuing and living out our calling. Amy also works with people of any other faith, respecting the right to each person’s choice of religion.
