More About Sharon Riddle

Many hats, one Lord

Growing up as a pastor's daughter in the Free Methodist Church. I felt the Holy Spirit tug at my heart as a little child. I gave my heart to Him as a seventh grader and dedicated my whole life to Him in eighth grade. I attended Azusa Pacific University and studied Music and Biblical Studies. After graduation I taught at a Christian school, worked on my Master's Degree and did short-term missions work. After serving on staff at three churches, I married Ike, a pastor in the Southern Baptist Denomination. The church he had planted, Olive Branch Community Church and Schools, in Corona, CA grew tremendously and we give God all the glory. I have authored four books on prayer and three children's picture books. We moved to Texas as a result of the Lord's leading and I taught for nine years at our local Christian school. I prayerfully consider every opportunity and wait for the Lord's approval. When that comes I feel confident that He will also provide exactly what needs to be said. I love speaking on PRAYER and also love creating fresh studies in the Word. I have many stories about how God responds to FAITH.

Waltzing at the Window

In our first stages of prayer we must overcome the enemy’s primitive deceptions. Satan wants us to believe that prayer is boring and difficult. When the Lord proves to us that it is exciting and simple we move on to new ground. But then the enemy tries to deceive us into believing that our prayers are ineffective and that we are unworthy. Sharon is an excellent teacher who quotes and lives the Scriptures hidden in her heart. Months ago she made a statement about Lazarus and his sisters that I'm still clinging to: "Don't settle for a healing when you can have a resurrection." She bathes her listeners and events in prayer just as she advocates in her books. Sharon shares her life experiences in a sisterly way that comforts and encourages.
