Available for local speaking engagements only, Mary's heart’s desire is to encourage your women with a message of hope, while equipping them with practical truths from God’s Word to live their lives with power and purpose. As an international speaker, she has spoken to thousands of women across the United States, Latin America, Mexico, New Zealand, India, Thailand, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.
Her personal goal in life is to leave it all on the playing field of life, skid into heaven with her hair on fire, saying “Wow! What a ride, Lord!”
Mary’s books include, Hope in the Midst of Depression, Sandpaper People, Escaping the Stress Trap, Experiencing God’s Power in Your Ministry, Trusting God, Knowing God by Name, Fit for Life, You Make Me So Angry, Joy Journal, and 10-Day Trust Adventure. Mary founded Journey Ministry and is the Co-founder of Girlfriends in God, a conference and devotional ministry for women.
One of Mary’s greatest pleasures is serving beside and teaching with her husband, Dan, an author, pastor and mentor of church planters. Mary relishes her ministry as a wife, a mother to their two children, Jered and Danna, and Mimi to her six grandchildren.

We had Mary Southerland as the keynote speaker for our Women’s Conference. As she speaks, the hearts of women are drawn to her and to her very relatable style of communicating. But beyond that, there is a beautiful and very powerful anointing of God’s Spirit upon her as she delivers strong, yet practical and Biblically based messages. The feedback we received from the hundreds of women who attended this event was overwhelmingly positive as they expressed how Mary’s ministry had a life-changing impact on them, and they definitely want her to come back! Mary Southerland is proof that good things come in small packages! Petite in frame, the power of God is mighty within her as she communicates His truths with passion, humor, wisdom and conviction. Mary has walked with God through some very dark valleys, and in those difficult times, she has learned to find her joy and strength in Him. Mary is my friend! I can guarantee that women will be encouraged and equipped to walk closer to Him as they listen to Mary.

Mary was such a blessing to the women at our church! She spoke with passion, Bible knowledge, experience, and compassion. She took time between sessions to speak in small groups or individually with hurting women. The ladies of my church are still talking about the truths and stories she shared! My personal favorite, “Grace, Grace, Grace!!
