More About Shelly Brown

Forever Changed!

Shelly’s life experiences and overcoming the deep pain that came with those experiences has given her a unique platform to not only encourage women of all ages, but to deeply understand them, while offering them sound biblical truths and promises. Before her 12th birthday, Shelly had experienced the loss of her mom from a tragic car accident, was abandoned by her natural father, lost her youngest sister, was separated from her two older sisters, was placed in no fewer than 5 foster homes where all but one terribly mistreated her, was adopted by a couple that could not have children of their own, only to be abused and rejected by the very mom who chose her. In 2008 and 2009 God took Shelly on an unexpected journey. Nothing, except her already consistent walk with the Lord, could have prepared her for this journey, though she’ll readily quip that she failed numerous times. She shares some of this journey through a life-changing message, The Wrestling Match: Essentials to a changed life. Shelly uses humor and poignant details as she shares many of her life experiences along with sound biblical truth while revealing the hope and healing that only God can give. Her deepest desire is to be used by God to impact the lives of women by not just having their heart’s stirred, but changed, so that they may in turn have an eternal impact on others. Shelly has been married almost eighteen years to Carl Brown. Together, they have three wonderful teenage children: Jordan, Jake, and Delaney. Along with her husband and children, Shelly attends Orlando Baptist Church where she has served for over 29 years.
