Kim Messinger, Janine Boyer, and Shirley Brosius are real women that tell of Christ's real love as they experience real life at various stages. Through drama, personal testimony and singing, Kim challenges women to build their faith and share it with others. Janine, a twin who experienced the death of her mother at a young age, encourages women to accept God's unconditional love. Shirley offers fresh insights into God's Word by presenting the book of Philippians and other lengthy scriptures from memory. She is the author of "Sisterhood of Faith: 365 Life-Changing Stories about Women Who Made a Difference.
Whether motivating small groups or ministering to larger audiences, Friends of the Heart likes to assess the group and address the life needs of the women present. We enjoy settings where we can share how God has worked in our lives through personal testimonies, teaching, music and drama. Our passion is to help women open their hearts and find joy in Christ. We want to share with women in any setting that God loves us unconditionally, heals our hurts and offers grace for daily living.

| I would like to recommend Shirley Brosius to your organization and you.
I have only known her for the short period of time of 9 months, but I
have come to love her and her talents. She has demonstrated a love for
people and her Savior, Jesus Christ. She will readily volunteer to help
when it is in her ability. She is faithful in teaching and leading when
she can. She has opened her home to get to know her neighbors and
friends. Shirley has a strong desire to write and is often found
writing for our newspaper.
Her strongest desire is to serve her Lord and Savior. We, the First
United Methodist Church, are delighted that Bill and Shirley worship
with us. They add to our planning and to the service. Many times I have
thanked the Lord for Shirley's talents and gifts. She is a delight.
Shirley comes with my highest recommendation and love. She will not only
serve your organization well, she will represent her Savior faithfully.
May God continually bless her and strengthen her.

| "Our church had the pleasure of having "Friends of the Heart" come to
speak for our women's retreat. What a blessing! Their different
personalities each contribute to a wonderful blend of transparency,
inspiration and challenge to walk with God. Their talks were grounded in
scripture, yet well balanced with personal examples and illustrations.
Our ladies left encouraged and exhorted. Shirley's presentation of the
book of Philippians from memory is not to be missed. We really
appreciated their ministry to the women!"

| I attended a retreat last year with a good friend of mine who goes to another church. The theme was “Serving: The Toughest Job You’ll Ever Love.” I have been on many retreats, and I have to say it was probably the very best one I had ever been on. It is lovely to see the love and friendship between the three of you. You each lend something wonderful to your ministry. I loved the skits, music, testimonials and especially was moved by (Shirley’s) reciting of Philippians on Sunday morning. What a special time that retreat was. |
