Elaine's giftings are God-designed and God-given, and those who know her have been blessed by those gifts because she so generously shares herself with others. Elaine Littau is a woman with a call of God on her life. He has been her number one passion since she was a small child. She began teaching Sunday school as a ten-year-old and still enjoys relating to people through the spoken word. She now also relates with the written word. Elaine is a busy woman who by profession is the church secretary for Harvest Time First Assembly of God Church. Among other things she has led women's groups and taught preschool, and was a mentor for the M.O.P.S. (Mothers of Preschoolers) group in her community. She has been active in Toastmasters and enjoys painting, crafts, and playing piano and organ. She was recently appointed to the Campus Education Improvement Committee for Wright Elementary School in her town. She belongs to Christian Storytellers and Faith Writers writing groups. "Nan's Journey" was written over the course of several years. "A salvation message is at the core of the book." Littau says. "If it weren't for the Lord, I wouldn't have been able to do this. I truly enjoy meeting new people." A second book, Elk's Resolve, Book II of IV of the Nan's Heritage series was released July 7, 2009.
Book signings are currently set up for venues in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Colorado. She is honored that Nan's Journey has been named "Best Christian Historical Fiction 2008" by Christian storyteller.com. The third book in the series, yet unpublished, received "Honorable Mention Christian Historical Fiction 2009" by www.christianstorytellers.com this past February.

"Having pastored for over 15 years, and as a lover of Christian fiction for over 30 years, it was a joy to read the very moving story of Mrs. Littau's Nan. I look forward to her future work and the resolution to Nan's Journey."

"A gifted storyteller, Elaine has a natural ability to make people laugh. Often she has regaled her friends with stories of her wonderful husband and sons and large extended family, complete with accents and colloquialisms. Many times, Elaine has taken an unpleasant incident and woven it into a hilarious tale, which ends more often than not with an imitation of her husband's slow Texas drawl, "Well, babe,' as a preface to any explanation he feels the need to make. I recall her lively tale of working in the kitchen of a church camp one hot Mississippi summer and repeating a southern cook's drawled advice to her that 'You cain't rosh aiggs', as she rushed about in the stifling humidity to crack and scramble enough eggs for a couple hundred hungry youngsters. Elaine's expressive mimicry and ability to paint pictures with words can make you see a scene so vividly in your mind that the experience seems to be your own."

"She personally exemplifies the helping spirit displayed in both books, with her unselfish help with doctor appointments and other everyday needs experienced by those whose driving skills have been made less acute with age. However, she does not limit herself to the older generation, but shows the same spirit of helpfulness to all she encounters. She truly exemplifies the Christian spirit which is evident in 'Elk's Resolve'."
