I'm feasting on Life |
From a child enduring countless illnesses to a pregnant teenager seeking forgiveness and now a happy energetic woman covered with bandages, I marvel at the extreme makeover Jesus has given me. For love, I am married to my heart's desire, Ted and enjoy 6 children and 15 grandchildren. For fun, I clog dance with friends, bike and ski with my husband, go to play parks and water parks with my grand babies and enjoy laughing with my kids and friends. For fulfillment, I share life experiences flavored with the sweetness of my loving heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ to audiences of all ages. I am feasting on life and laughing through dessert! At retreats, banquets, keynote addresses, workshops and conferences, I long to see others awake to a higher level of loving this marvelous Lord who has so much joy and peace to pour on us. Bandages, puppies, roadkill and mirrors-these are some of the real life experiences I have seen give an added definition to God's Word. I love to share heart felt stories that are encouraging, enlightening and entertaining. Scripture fuels me to move closer to the Lord as I see His Word come alive in everyday situations.

Dashing Here, Dashing There, Does Your Dash Lead Anywhere? |
With all of the conveniences that make our lives easier, why are we are so often in a hurry? Many of us seldom get to sit and read a good book, or enjoy puttering around the house or yard. We are dashing through the snow, the rain, the sunshine, but not always laughing all the way as the song would suggest. But I have a message for you. What I want you to know is : 1.your dash is personalized by God, but 2. life circumstances change your dash and, 3. your dash is making you grow in one direction or another, plus 4. your dash affects others, 5. and with your dash comes responsibility. Through choices we face regularly, we determine the worth of our dash. This is a program aimed at looking around, looking inward and looking ahead at spending our dash.

More Than a Mirror Image |
We face it first thing in the morning...sometimes it can set our mood. Oh that haunting reflection in the mirror, who is she? She invaded my body in the night! So, what do you see in the mirror? Our image matters! 1. Our image matters to us. 2. Our image matters to God. 3. Our image matters to others and 4. Others' images matter to us. A scriptural look at our images.
But we are images designed to be set free.
And who gives the ultimate freedom? Our precious Jesus! |

Three Little Words |
There is so much force within words...words like whisper, breezy, crackle- they carry power in just their sound. When someone told me they had a total change in attitude because of three little words, I was curious. Now I have found many incredible combinations of words that can make a world of difference. God whispers in the breeze those words that are not harsh to our ears, but a delicate invitation to come before Him in joy and awe.

| I've known Phyllis since 2002. She helps with our women's ministry, teaches on occasion, promotes the gifts of other women in the church, has a passion for hurting women and mentors many young adult women. She is used as a resource by the pastors who are counseling women in crisis. Phyllis uses her gifts of speaking , writing and teaching freely within our congregation and encourages new speakers .She has endeared herself to all who know her. I wholeheartedly endorse her for ministry. |

| Our Tenth Annual Women of Grace Retreat was second to none that we have had. We could feel the presence of God and were blessed in so many ways throughout the day. Phyllis' personal stories brought the messages of Jesus right to us, giving us hope, challenges, and reassurances of how Jesus works in our lives. Her mother's book of poetry deeply touched women. It was not at all surprising to read the evaluations of the day indicating their awe for lessons learned that day. One of our goals for the day was to offer the opportunity to deepen ones personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. There was a strong affirmation from the ladies to this. Praise God!
